Packing Closets and Kids Toys with the Large Moving Boxes

There are big closets, small closets, and cluttered closets. The first thing you have to do is decide are you a pack rat. Do you still keep those jeans in hopes of squeezing into them someday? How about those old t-shirts you keep for painting, mowing and other dirty work- do you really need 20 of those? If you answered yes to either of these questions then you have a cluttered closet, and you’re going to need to use Large Moving Boxes.

Sweatshirts, jeans, shoes, and bedding are all good examples of what you might be packing up from your closet into the large boxes to just make sure not to overload it to much – you might think about just throwing away those jeans.

The toy room is another place that you should use the large moving boxes. Now you need to decide do you want to consolidate now or later. If you thin out the toys before you move you’re going to need fewer moving boxes now, but it’s going to be more work. It’s OK to take the head from Malibu Barbie and add it to another but just don’t use it on Ken’s body.

A good rule of thumb to determine how many large moving boxes you’ll need is:

Step 1 Add the age of each your children together.

Step 2 Then multiple this number by the number of sets grandparents.

Step 3 Multiple this number by the number of rooms that you allow toys to be stored – for example if they can keep toys in their room, the toy room, and your room then that is three.

Step 4 Subtract 1 if a parent has ever stepped on a toy and then threw it across the room in anger.

Step 5 Once you get this number you must divide it in half for every time you have said something like “That’s it! You guys don’t play with these toys we’re getting rid of them.” Now if you never followed through then this doesn’t count. If this number is higher then ten you probably are up to your eyeballs in toys and need to have a garage sale. Good Luck!
