You and the roomies have enjoyed quite the college life, have finally graduated, and each of you is going separate ways. Family and friends are gathered to help move you all out.  Everyone you know who owns a pickup truck was invited, and boxes for moving each roommate out are passed down the assembly line of hands, into the bed of the trucks.  Amazing how much you collected over the last four years!  Mostly thrift shop finds…clothes, pieced-together décor, furniture, mismatched plates, cups, and silverware…you still meticulously pack each item to move to your next home. Though these dear items hold little monetary value, they will serve as a reminder of your great school days…the lamp that you have to hang a set of keys from to hold the switch in place; the mustard-yellow osculating fan that is missing a blade; the blue-plaid recliner with wooden arms that the dog chewed to splinters in her puppy stage; the melted plastic spatulas from many-a-grilling accidents; the massive oak headboard with a super-glued dartboard and thousands of accompanying holes…these things you could never part from.  As you finish strategically packing each truck, you pull out the next poor mans’ solution for moving cheap – nylon braided rope! You use the moving rope to rope up an artistic criss-cross, the asymmetric web from front to back over your belongings, and tie the end to the waist of the wedged-in, headless mannequin (another fond memory!), and then you help the rest of the guys pack boxes for moving memories of their own.  You all share one last, secret roommate handshake, take a photo in front of the ol’ rental, and part ways. It’s been quite the journey…good thing you’re taking it with you in the bed of a pickup truck!
